Don has been representing clients in labor law matters for over forty years.  He attended the United States Naval Academy and the State University of New York at Buffalo, and graduated from Fordham Law School in New York  in 1975.   Don began his career working for the National Labor Relations Board, where he was the recipient of three “Distinguished Service” awards from the Board.  Don then joined Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom before opening his own practice, focused primarily on labor law.  Don founded Carmody & Carmody with his son Bryan, which now operates as Carmody & Kaseta.

Early in his career, Don represented many of the major media networks, independent broadcasting companies, and public television stations in a host of labor relations matters.  Don next established a robust practice in the healthcare field, representing the largest publicly-traded for-profit owner and operator of hospitals in the United States, as well as the largest owner and operator of imaging clinics in the United States, and the largest owner and operator of ambulance transportation services in the country.

Don has served as the Chief Spokesperson in hundreds of collective bargaining negotiations, and has routinely represented employers before the National Labor Relations Board in virtually every type of proceeding before the Board, including representation cases, decertification cases, unfair labor practice charges, and more.  Don has vast experience contending with boycotts, strike activities, and other concerted activities, and regularly advises clients on all manner of labor relations issues.  Don is highly regarded in the labor relations legal community, and maintains the unparalleled trust and confidence of his clients, thanks to his decades of experience, innovative approach to labor relations, and record of success.
